Imagine this Friday night in little Na'ama’s house. The new little Israeli Idol is treated like a queen; guests coming up to join the Margolis’ meal; champagne flows; singing and laughter fill the air; the newly heroine smiles and shines. “We finally showed them! We gonna destroy them,” Mrs. Margolis prides herself, while plotting her run to be the next mayor of the secular Beit Shemesh or to a Labor party Knesset seat. But don’t forget: Pity, frightened Na’mma. She must be traumatized!
Let’s walk in to the house of the Fuchs’, father Shlomo barely can force out a smile. The father of 12, who seemed on face to be a decent Ben Torah, struggling hard to bring Challah to his table, was revealed as one of the worst villains – a severe harasser. He hid it 44 years, faking a pious live, but everything came to open when he used a slur against a woman trying to make a secular statement. The man - who doesn’t seem to be of those we refer to as Sikrikim and doesn’t necessarily relish to the prospects of lengthy prison term – is frightened of the charges, and the 12 kids grapple with their new role, as the relatives of such a low-life, and possibly missing a father for a long time. His wife can barely hold back her tears. Everyone shuns them. They are the face of the worst in the world, and the front for attacks from the media right and left, religious and secular.
Know no mercy! They deserve it! Let him rot in jail! Let his kids be an example of what happens to someone committing such a heinous act!
