Will Hikind Support Sharpton Embracer?

Assemblyman Dov Hikind is reportedly considering endorsing Newt Gingrich for president (I doubt this is still the case after the recent poll numbers, since Hikind usually rides the current wave). I'm just wondering if Hikind is aware that in 2009 Gingrich said; "I really appreciate the leadership Rev. Sharpton is showing all across America." This was during a nationwide trip together on education policy.

Earlier this year Hikind decried plans to include Rev. Sharpton on a panel discussing the Crown Heights riots. "This is not a person who has brought people together. This is a guy who was divisive, racist and has never addressed the issue" of the Crown Heights Riots.

Gingrich recently said on Sharpton’s show: “I will never forget it for the rest of my life. You were tremendous on those trips. ... I watched you speak up with courage and with toughness on behalf of children in a way that all my life I will remember and I will honor you for the way you were willing to take on interests on behalf of children.”

In CH and for Jews who remember those tragic events, sadly, his fight for children had a whole different meaning... Wondering what Hiklind take on that is.
