Williamsburg's Squadron eying Borough or City-wide run

Williamsburg State Senator Daniel Squadron a run, and is already raising money for a borough or city-wide position, David Freedlander of Politicker reported today.  

A source close to State Senator said that he raised $133,000, into citywide campaign account that started raising money for it in late October.

According to the source, Mr. Squadron “is interested in running for public advocate, but is also looking at Brooklyn borough president and comptroller.” Councilmember Letitia James is all eying a public advocate run, if Bill de Blasio runs for mayor, as is expected.

If Mr. Squadron opts to run for borough president instead, he will likely find himself in a race with fellow State Senator Eric Adams, among others.
