Ed Towns Garrymandered Out of WIlliamsburg

I predicted that Williamsburg will find itself outside Ed Towns' district after the maps are redrawn, and this is what the court is actually proposing. Towns - who's representing will also lose other Jewish neighborhoods. Here is an interactive map to see the changes.

Williamsburg will find it-self in district 7, currently held by Joseph Crowley's, but it looks like that this will become Nydia Valesquez's district. This may be good news for Eric Dilan.

The new map is totally removing Hakeem Jeffrries' assembly district from the 10th congressional district, complicating his plans to oppose Towns.

It puts Bob Turner in trouble by redrawing his lines in unfriendly teritory. It elimintates Gary Ackerman's district, and may spur him to try to unseat Turner, but he will face a primary with Roy Lancman first.

These maps aren't final yet.
