UPSET? At Least for Tonight

"Tonight we go to bed as winners," Storobin said.
He won the night with 120 votes, fidler might win the elections with absantees. Dov Hikind still undecided... Good Night. Heading for Maariv.

I will update on top (please pardon my typos - spell checking would delay results):

Fidler also claimed victory, and thanked Orthodox Jews for withstading a barrage of attacks against him. His Campaign maneger Kalman Yeger isn't losing sleep, believing that he will end ahead after the ansentees. Whoever wins, will have to face a stronger Orthodox candidate in September, City and State believes, afirming a topic that we discussed several times.

The AP seems to have caught up with final results (though it only report it as 83%, the numbers are idenical to Daily Politics 100%).

PER BOARD OF ELECTIONS: # PAPER: 2090 ABSENTEE BALLOTS DISTRIBUTED, 1194 RETURNED, 437 INVALID, 757 VALIDSD27

Storobin party laughs.

Will take a few weeks for the paper results.

Fidler declared victory, according to David Greenfield. Claims 207 vote margin.

Given the over 600 absanties, we probably won't have a winner tonight.

Who's next? Gatemouth warns Cymbrowitz. Joseph Hayon, a driving force behind Storobin in Orthodox circles who was a valuable source to Colin and me, fared surprisingly strong against Cymbrowitz in 2010, with only $600. He's now invigorated (pardon my typos)

And this guy is giving up on Southern Brooklyn..

Dems promising never again. Haven't they after Turner?

Celesta Katz have advanced numbers, but we are further it seems, though not precise:
Halfway: 51.85% reporting:
Storobin: 5707
Fidler: 5090

Fidler camp blame Orthodox.

WOW, he's now ahead with 327. Rather, he gained 327 from Shorefront Y.

Storobin had reason to celebrate at one point tonight.

Greenfield tweeted that Ds have a better than 3/1 advantage in absantees.

Lot of Russians still have to be counted. Storobin within Hundred.

AP start to broadcast results. Way behind.

Fidler ahead with 100 , 80% in. Sill have to count GOP strongholds

Greenfield still have Fidler ahead, but tighter.

Storobin now ahead 44.

Most I got from a democratic source is that it doesn't look good so far.

David Greenfield tweeted this 15 minutes ago: "So far Fidler is splitting the Orthodox Jewish vote with Storobin. With 200k dumped in by R's in last week that's good news for Fidler."

David just added that with 50% Fidler is ahead. Jacob Cornbluh adds that it is very small.

It all depends on 59th Assembly district, according to Storobonites. One machine in 57th is jammed, which may delay results.

The AP doesn't have any numbers yet.
