"Fidler had a 3 vote lead (as Politicker reported); They then counted 3 votes of special needs (blind) voters and all were for me; This tied the vote (Cleste's version); Today one formerly invalid vote was brought back, and it went for me as well. I have a one vote lead right now, before the challenged votes are adjudicated."
Update 12:15: Now a NY1 reporter says that Storobin is ahead by 1. Counting is done for today, and it heads to court.

After the initial recanvass phase, there is disagreement what the results are. The Fidler camp claims that they are up, and so reports Politicker that they are up by 3. Storobin's statement seems to confirm that Fidler holds a "narrow lead.” Still, Celeste Katz, who has a mole in the BoE and is usually the first to have results, maintains that it is a tie. I don't how such a thing ends in NY, but the first Google result is from California, where it ended with a coin toss, and Massachusetts once had a second election in such a case. It is too late for this to happen before the district seize to exist.
Even if Fidler leads, it’s far from over. There are 378 initially considered valid ballots that are disputed by the campaigns. Politicker cites Storobin’s campaign that they contested 193 ballots and Mr. Fidler’s team challenged 185. According to the Filder camp, Storobin challenged mainly registered Democrats, senior citizens, and had Jewish surnames, and over three-quarters of challenges were directed against women. Storobin's side report that over hundred of Fidler's challenges are against Russians. They promise a legal fight if Fidler hold on to his lead.
A big portion of disputed ballots may be added back into the count. Then, both campaigns may try to add ballots that were considered invalid by the BoE. If the spread between the 2 candidates is less than 0.5 percent, about 110 in number, it heads to an automatic hand recount and legal action.
