Simcha Felder's announcement that he will seek the State Senate-ship of the Super-Jewish district marks his third political position in less than 2 years.
1) In November, 2009, he campaigned and won reelection to the city council, under the slogan "only with Simcha," that the neighborhood must have to thrive and succeed.
2) Barely a week in his new term, Mr. Felder announced his sudden resignation for a better paid job under Comptroller Liu. Since than he was mostly out of the public sight, until March, when we speculated that his re-emergence indicates a planned home-coming.
Did he decide that the district doesn’t need him as badly as earlier suggested? He also cited the higher pay as a reason for his switch, and that the new position will enable him to better serve everyone.
3) After receiving a substantial pay-raise, Felder decided to return to his neighborhood.
Is the city-wide position not-important anymore?
To be sure, Mr. Felder is a likable and humble candidate, outpacing all the other Orthodox elected officials on the likability scale. But with all due respect, the least we deserve is an explanation for his frequent switches. For whose sake should we forsake on Continuity and Stability?
Simcha, an explanation, please!

When you get the explanation please post it. Stiffed us with Bloomberg for another 4 years and he leaves the council after we voted for him. Then the City needed to spend our tax money to hold a special election. What a shame and now he expects us to vote him in gain? How do we know he will stay and work for the community?
