Yossi Gestetner Joined the Anti-Lopez Orchestra

Vito Lopez is surely runnin scared. Yossi Gestetner is after him. First It was with a brilliant ideological memo in regards to the Satmar camp dispute, lecturing him about the difference of a ‘democracy’ and ‘representative republic’, and now with an analysis that Vito’s power is eroding.

I’m not gonna argue with his clearly cherry-picked facts – it doesn’t include, for example, that Diana Reyna is a 3rd termer and barely won; that Velazquez is running for her 11th term, and the mere fact that Vito is challenging her is telling; and Vito's recent victory with getting Rafael Espinal elected against the once-powerful Towns family. But a thorough analysis requires compiling the whole picture, comparing it to other party bosses and to Vito’s power in the previous years. I clearly admit that I’m not qualified to do that, but as a Brooklynite I get the impression that Vito is one of the most forceful party chairs, and his losses are a result of him not shying away from tough fights, even when he start out as a clear under-dog.
This may have to do with Yossi’s disdain to democrats, and he badly wants to see Vito - the Democratic chair - defeated, or is it his ties with the aranites. He started his career as a writer in Der Blatt, the aranite camp's Yiddish newspaper .

His facts about the NY7 race, where I'n quite plugged in to, are clearly biased. Yossi only knows that the Zalmanites will ‘likely’ support Dilan, and the Aranites ‘will’ vote for Velazquez and the unaffiliated will also likely support her. Whoever know Williamsburg politics, knows that the Zalanite support is as decided as the Aranites, and his assumptions about the unaffiliated are way off.
In other news, a third candidate declared for the race to replace Congressman Towns. His name is Colin Beavan, in case you want to know.
And Brooklyn Politics is so tense, that it’s time for a return for the old-fashioned duel. Isn’t it? Here you have a fun photo of Steve Levin and Brad Lander at the ribbon-cutting of a park. Seriously, they were reenacting the battle of Brooklyn, the largest battle of the revolutionary war. The park that was funded by capital allocations by Councilmember Levin who gave $3.255 million, Councilmember Lander donated $1.627 million, Borough President Markowitz gave $500,000, Assemblywoman Joan Millman gave $100,000 and Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave $395,000.

  1. Yossi has already been exposed almost 3 weeks ago when it was reported on gestetnerupdates.com, that State Senator Martin Dilan from Brooklyn will face a primary challenger, gestetneupdates rarely has any News about local primary elections, especially when it is not in Yossis District in upstate New York, and especially an internal Democratic Primary, since Yossi thinks of himself as a conservative, so why would he report this??
What was even more weird, was the fact that this was exclusive report by Yossi, no other Democratic local Brooklyn journalist knew about it, only a young Jewish conservative journalist from Upstate New York, how should only yossi know about it???
It was right away clear that Yossi has some inside information and is being paid by the anti-Dilan camp, who feeds him with the information, But from where would the anti-Dilan Hispanics know about Yossi gestetner???, and why would they want his services in a Democratic Primary, so that they should release him exclusively this scoop??
Last week everything was clarified, it was the Aaronites -who are aligned with the Anti-Dilan Anti-Lopez camp- who have hired Gestetner for their PR and they released him this exclusive scoop, that was only the beginning of the negative reports against Vito Lopez that started to roll (and is probably not finished yet [how do I know? Because Yossi is not writing anything new and anything of his own he’s just copying what the Anti-Lopez media wrote in the last few years, and he didn’t find it relevant that to report it than, and the Anti-Lopez media had written a lot more against Lopez, so I know that Yossi has a lot more to copy),
The Aaronites thought that Yossi will come from another Angle, it will look like a he's neutral, and his articles are being inspired by his conservative Agenda and he just wants to expose the Democratic Lopez why he’s wrong, and does not have anything to do with the Aaronites
But Yossi blew it right away on his first paid negative report against Lopez, Yossi simply chipped off a piece of Lopez statement, so that it should look like that Lopez reasons why the camps should belong to the Zalmen Faction, is because they are the Majority votes in Williamsburg, and Yossi starts bashing him and the democrats, Supposedly, But in fact Lopez never said it, Yossi created his own facts.
Lest see it for ourselves, this is how it appears on NY1 where the report originated and “ as seen on TV”,
"It's a poor political decision on [Velazquez's] part, because the overwhelming number of people, if majority rules and 80 percent of them are in need and support this, it's sad that she has taken the minority position," said Lopez. (NY1)
And here is how it appears on gestetnerupdates.com
Among others he said, “The overwhelming number of people, if majority rules and 80 percent of them are in need and support this, it’s sad that she [Congresswoman Velasquez] has taken the minority position.” In other words claims the Boss, most children attending the camps belong to the Zalman side of the dispute and since “Majority Rules,” the Zaloynem shall have control of the camps. (Yossi Gestetner)
Yossi simply cut off the words "It's a poor political decision on [Velazquez's] part, because” that it should look like Lopez is referring to the camps, when really he was referring to why it was a poor political decision by Velasquez, this statement wasn’t about the camps, and in fact this whole interview wasn’t about the Camp, rather on the impact it will have on the congressional race.
Yes, It wasn’t the Democrats who are wrong, it was just that Yossi was being paid by the Aaronites, to twist facts.
Yossi you were exposed and any stupid excuse is worthless.
But Yossi listen to me as long as you get your paycheck just keep on, just try to do a better Job.
p.s. I would like to apologize for my poor English, since it was written in a hurry I did not concentrate, and I rather ‘translated my Yiddish’ than ‘write in English’.

  2. If there was anyone who made a Statement that might sound as contrary to what yossi calls “Rights Rule” it’s Velasquez, here is what Velasquez had to say about to whom the camp should belong “The person that you mention [Lopez] went up there to advocate for the four camps to be given to one group," said Velazquez. "I am not advocating for that. I am advocating for all the girls." What does this have with “Rights”? if it really belongs to one group it should be for that group, if for the other group than it should be for the other, what is the “Rights” for ALL the girls? If I would call that the camp should be for ALL the girls including Satmar, Pupa, Square, Bobov, I would’ve been more “Right than Velasquez because she only wants the Satmars, and I advocate for all chasiduss? Does this sound as “Rights or rather as the Liberal Philosophy of spreading the wealth around for all the girls, why didn’t Yossi find important to bash Velasquez?
