Firebrand Barron Was a Respected Figure by Some Democrats

The Democratic party is running scared that the antisemitic and bigoted Gaddafi and Mugabe fan Charles Barron may be elected to congress, but they ignore the fact that this is largely their own fault. They now pretend like this guy came out from the wilderness to become a viable congressional candidate. They profess to be shocked that the congressman he's vying to replace, Ed Towns, endorsed him. Fact of the matter is that Charles Baron was for too long respected by local Democrats. A Democratic congresswoman, whom President Obama endorsed today, shared a stage with Charles Barron to endorse an Assembly candidate, thus showing that his political views are something to listen to.

Rep. Nydia Velazquez smiles, as Barron shakes hands with Gonzalez. See more photos on Facebook

Nydia Velazquez (D, NY) last year shared a stage with Barron and other Democrats to endorse Jesus Gonzalez for State Assembly. Gonzalez ran in a 3-way race, against a daughter of the retiring Congressman ED Towns and the eventual winner Assemblyman Rafael Espinal, who was backed by the Brooklyn democratic machine. Velazquez, who is now locked in a bitter primary against machine backed candidate Councilman Erik Dilan, today received President Obama's endorsement .

Also, Barron was once praised by his former democratic Jewish colleague Councilman Simcha Felder, who considered him a friend.

Now they all pretend that they just discovered him. As if he was totally ex-communicated from the party. Fact of the matter is that he was shown much more respect that such a hatemonger deserve, and if he wins a congressional seat, it will largely be courtesy to those in the democratic party who formerly associated with him. The may wish to press 'delete', but a lot of his constituents already see him as a legitimate leader and can't understand why a respected leader locally, is so roundly condemned by his former backers when trying to rise to a national position.

And here is a video of the endorsement.
