Another Citywide Candidate from Williamsburg?

Former Councilman and current TLC commissioner David Yassky is considering another run for Comptroller, where he last time ended up as one of the two top finishers, or a bid against Brooklyn D.A. Charles Hynes, according to Crain's. In a Comptroller race, he will have to face off with Council Finance Chairman Domenic Recchia Jr, who is probably closer to the county democratic machine.

If Yassky decides to run - we should know that before the end of the year, according to the report - he will be the third citywide or borough-wide candidate to have represented parts of Hasidic Williamsburg, after State Senator Squadron and Councilwoman Letitia James. Yassky grew very close to the community, ever since his initial Mayim Chaim soda shower introduction fiasco...
