In a classy move, Mr. Restler decided against mounting a legal challenge against the election results, where Chris Olechowski finished with a 19 vote lead for the district leader post in Williamsburg. "In the interest of putting the community first, I have decided against this
course of action, but we are working with the appropriate authorities to prevent
voter fraud from being perpetrated in future elections," he wrote to his supporters.
Mr. Restler writes that a new elections wouldn't take place before February.
