Politics Create Strange Bedfellows: The devil is in the photo!

Once again I find myself strangely agreeing with the Yeshiva World. I’m also outraged by the reports and photos of Orthodox Jews being the cheerleaders of the Anti-Obama choir, together with Governor Rick Perry. This is a Chilul Hashem, and it’s against how we are supposed to behave until the coming of Moshiach. Still, I have to point out that the Yeshiva World is insincere with his critic, and he’s clearly using Yiddishkeit to further his personal agenda.
Whoever is such a vivid reader of the leading Orthodox blogs as me must be surprised by this YW article, given the radical pro-settlements stance that is evident throughout his blog. A small example:
After the NY9 outcome he explained it: “The message is unmistakable – Orthodox Jews are mad at Obama and sick and tired of flip-flopping politicians.” He also wrote: “Never before has an American President been so unsupportive of Israel and never before has the Jewish community so publicly upbraided a President.” Where was his respect for President Obama than? Why didn’t he report the fact that the Orthodox voted Turner mainly because their Anti-gay marriage stance?
The answer is: the devil is in the pictures…
The photo in top of his dovish post is a shot that appeared in top of Politico’s home page yesterday for the most of the day. It is of Perry with his hand over Ezra Friedlander. It’s not clear that this photo was taken in the same event that made the news waves. It’s quite possible that Mr. Friedlander got the reporter - formerly from NY who seems to have strong contacts in the Orthodox community, and she’s giving overweight coverage to their politicking – to post his photo, as part of his rehabilitation process after his candidate Weprin lost (The other day he got his photo and statement with winner Phil Goldfeder, though it was bit out of place).
I’m also bothered by this photo, with a bearded Jew as the face of the radical pro-Israeli and Anti-Obama crowd. YW, though, posted it out of this bias against Mr. Friedlander. Other examples of this bias are here and here. In order to attack Friedlander, he turned a Galus Yid for a post.
On the other hand, he also had a positive on Orthodox being out and in front for Perry and against Obama. This piece was headed by a photo of Chaskel Bennet, who spoke at the Anti-Obama gathering and actually criticized our President. He still felt that he rather attack the silent Friedlander and laud the outspoken Bennet. It is in line with his prior endorsement of Bennet for a future State Senate district.
YW and OP are strange bedfellows, and the devil is in the photos!

  2. Are you kidding me?

This guy have obssesive control over his comment, and he blocks constantly deletes what goes against his agenda. He's much more picky with what he's posting. Find me how many times he posted a Hikind press release.

When he allows an opinion piece on his site, no matter with how bold the disclosure is, he approves it and want it to be there.

Also,he chose the photo, I assume.
