I concur with YW that Dov Hikind shouldn't question the Hatzolah's decisions, nor their Halachic authority. Here he seized a real issue to further his anti-Hikind agenda. If he would mean the issue, I think that he would also criticize the Haredi lawyer, Frier, for propagating the issue.
Ruchie Frier is not the role model we want for our women, and she shouldn't pretend to be a community leader. She succeeded in becoming a lawyer while sticking to her faith - good for her. It's still a huge risk for Heimishe women, and even men, to follow her Derech.
Working with those at risk, don't give you authority to create more risks... Shame on VIN for giving her a platform and the illusion that she is a community leader.
Being one of the only Hasidic women to pass the bar, don't grant you Smicha. If anything, it only lowers your credibilty on Yidishkeit issues.
