Storobin's Blog Trail Vanished; Fidler: Smacks of Weinergate

Ron Paul have to defend his newsletters, and Brooklyn Dems tell that the probable republican candidate for Kruger’s senate seat, David Storobin, have some explaining to do about his disappeared blog posts.

It's already weeks that the Brooklyn Room 8 blogger Gatemouth is ranting (literally) away about Storobin's posts on Global Politician - he served as its editor-in-chief – which recently disappeared. The website's articles were picked up by white-supremacist chat rooms, according to Crains. One recovered Storobin writing is an interview with an official from Freedom Front, a white-separatist group in South Africa

Brooklyn GOP Chairman Craig Eaton said that he never heard of the site.

Storobin said he has no idea who took down the postings or why, but he stood by his work. “My views have evolved over the years, but there's nothing I've been ashamed of,” he said. “I'm very proud of the stuff I've written.”

His opponent, Councilman Lew Fidler, , said the public deserves to know what else Storobin has written. He questioned that the author doesn't know who removed his postings. “I'm not a great believer in coincidences,” he said, adding that the vanished posts smacked of “Weinergate.”

BTW, Lew had his own Weiner-scare. On Nov. 11 he posted on Facebook: "Apparently some dork has hacked my Facebook accont so if you get a weird message from me, twasn't me at all!" Someone replied, 'Ah, the old Anthony Weiner "somebody hacked my account" excuse.' There is no indication of the nature of that message...

Also, the candidate-to-be Fidler already delivered a semi-campaign speech for the Manhattan Beach Neighborhood Association, where he boasted his Chutzpah: “You’ve got to have the chutzpah. Once you’ve figured out what makes common sense and what’s right and what’s wrong, [you need chutzpah] to stand up and to say so." Here is more on the speech.
