This photo reminds me of (don’t dare to say it, please)…

An article in The National Interest magazine, written by Ben-Gurion University professor Benny Morris on “Israel's Brewing Kulturkampf”, contained a photo that made me shudder.

Why did this writer or magazine choose a photo of an outlandish Jew when discussing Haredim?

Stereotypical Jews were the fodder for The Sturmer. Here is one photo collection. The man on right top is described as "A real Talmud Jew. He is still doing excellently and he has every reason to smile."

I’m not going to finish the analogy, because I know I will never get it as easy as Avi Weiss did, and I will not be afforded the pass that others got last week.

On thing is certain: The stereotypical Jew of 2012 is not smiling anymore…

  3. Oh, I forgot, only the Anti-Ultra-Orthodox are allowed to shudder by the use of Nazi Imagery... Other' are sick and twisted for expressing their opinion... What an enlightened guy...
