Super PAC Against Towns & Velazquez; and More

The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that a Super PAC that is trying to oust incumbents on both sides of the political spectrum, placed Congressmembers Towns, Velazquez and Rangel on their target list among over a dozen congressional candidates nationally that they are rooting against. The PAC is especially interested in defeating Rangel and Towns, but has yet to decide if they will commit money for the cause. The Super PAC already spent 6-figure amounts to defeat incumbents in several states.

Erik Dilan will report a decent fund-raising start, raising $115,000, City&State is reporting. Velazquez had almost 7 times that amount left in her account, but hasn’t indicated how she fared recently.

And Velazquez won the significant backing of the Working Family Party.
