Finally: It's Over; Fidler Concedes, But Not on the Number

State Senator elect David Storobin will make it to Albany while the Senate is still in session, after Lew Fidler conceded the race (oh, I misspoke, he actually "declined to appeal the court decision" of the Storobin win...). The Board of Elections will certify it next Tuesday, some 2 weeks before the legislative session in Albany is scheduled to end. Still, both sided have different numbers. As per Storobin, he leads with 16 votes, but Fidler supporter Councilman Greenfield shaved it down to 14 votes.

State Senator Elect David Storobin Goes to Albany
Congratulations!

Meanhile Chris Bragg is reporting that Nachman Caller hired a former Greenfield campaign operative, Moishe Friedman, as his Campaign Manager. This can play into a conspiracy that Greenfield, who is all out for Felder, is interested in a strong Caller candidacy to dissuade Storobin from running in the new Super Jewish district as a republican. This would also help explain who placed the mysterious anonymous Yiddish ads for Caller (Greenfield and Fidler advertised heavily in the Yiddish papers).
