State Senator Storobin Explains Dead Name Petitioner

As reported in the NY Post, Simcha Felder is challenging David Storobin's signatures for the republican line, pointing to the signature of a dead woman that showed up in the petitions. Steven Stites, a Storobin spokesman, said Felder was trying to blow up an innocent mistake because his own petitions are “rife with fraud.”

On July 6, Storobin attested to securing the signature of Hilda Danger, a voter residing at 1576 Ocean Ave., in Midwood, Brooklyn. But records show that Danger died June 6, 2010, the Post is reporting.

We asked David Storobin what was the "innocent mistake", and here is the explanation: "It was another person who signed in Apt 1F and when the rest of the stuff was filled in, there was a mixup. We have that other person's affidavit to this effect."

In other news, Ms. Meyer failed to get on the Republican and Independence party lines, but will be on the conservative line. Her spokesman contended that she never really wanted to be on these lines, and always ran as a conservative with republican backing.
