11th Hour: 4 Rabbonim Deny Supporting Storobin

First Rabbonim withdrew their support for Fidler, and in the 11th hour four Rabbonim who were listed as supporting Storobin or that it is a Chilul Hashem to vote for Fidler clarified that they aren't supporting any campaign. Notably, 3 of the Rabbonim are only denying that they supported a candidate, but aren't denying disavowing a candidate. Only one, Rabbi Rosenbaun, is encouraging to participate in the election "and vote based on who will represent us best and produce the most accomplishments for our community’s needs.”

One of the Rabbis, Rabbi Naftuli Rottenberg, already published a letter in the Flatbush Jewish Journal, where he makes quiet clear that he prohibited to vote for supporters of marriage redefinition, and he's only taking issue with describing him as a Storobin endorser. In the same issue, Joseph Hayon, who is campaigning for Storobin and organized the signatures against Fidler, apologized to Rabbi Rottenberg for misstating him as if he endorsed Storobin.
