Celesta Katz reports that the hand recount in the Storobin/Fidler race is over, and Storobin is up by 14 (Storobin version), or by 11 (Fidler version - and going back during the weeks since the election, the Storobins consistently had a better record with the numbers, starting with election night).

Time to Man Up!

Storobin version: Eight ballots are still disputed, and they are evenly split between the candidates.

Fidler camp: "With due respect to my friends at Team Storobin, the counting is concluded when the Board of Elections says it's concluded... Both campaigns have been instructed by the Board of Elections to return on Wednesday for additional counting. We'll continue abiding by the Board's instructions until it has concluded its work." They are still clinging their hopes on several EDs that are off from the original count.

The Board told the Storobin camp that they're looking to certify by Tuesday, but they are trying to rush it.

Mr. Fidler, with all due respect, it's about time to concede. This election wasted over a million dollars in taxpayers money and much more in campaign donations. There is no excuse to keep dragging it just to withhold your opponent the chance of setting foot in Albany.
