Hikind Haven't Endorsed; Hedging his Bets

We expressed yesterday amazement about Hikind's early endorsement for Bill Thompson. Now, he actually haven't. In a blog post today he's clarifying what he said for the Post.

Hikind said that he had good words for Thompson, but is also having positive views about Bill de Blasio, Scott Stringer and John Liu. He's omission of Cristine Quinn - Greenfield's probable choice - wasn't missed, and as a Bloomberg nemesis it's understandable. In addition, Hikind is lately trying to avoid anti-morality candidate, and in that respect Quinn is the worst of the pack.

Hikind is having a record of liking but not endorsing candidates. He reportedly promised an endorsement for Lew Fidler as a birthday gift, only not to endorse him in the end and according to his own account voting for Storobin. More recently, he spoke nicely of Roy Lancman but stopped short of endorsing.
