"The Board of Elections in NYC still has many hundreds or perhaps thousands of
ballots that need to be counted in New York’s Seventh Congressional District, as
is the case with other congressional districts.
The BOE is counting this week the affidavits that
many hundred voters, certainly Hasidic voters, have signed on Election Day. Next
week, the BOE will count the absentee ballots that were submitted in the lead-up
to the election. The outcome of the affidavits and
absentee counts will be followed closely from the campaign bunkers of NYC to the
spacious offices in Albany: Elected officials; politicians; campaign operatives,
strategists, lobbyists and journalists will all want to see the full outcome of
the NY7 election to have a better and perhaps accurate picture how strong or how
weak of a political change the Hasidic Williamsburg has gone through during this
last elections," Yossi writes today.
Anyhow as a result of his explanation, I suspended my timer that clocked how long it will take him to respond. I expect to see a follow-up when the final BOE numbers are published.
